-Desmond was raised among a civilization of Drow in the Winter Court. Similar to other drow societies, this one worshipped Lolth, the Queen of Spiders. Even the Queen of Air and Darkness herself, the unchallenged ruler of the Winter Court, served as a high matron to Lolth. The Winter Court was driven by power, greed, lies, and betrayal. The only purpose every drow shared was to eradicate any other elven race within the Faywild.
-Like any other drow child, Desmond was raised with hatred and cruelty instilled within him. He was indoctrinated with ideas of Drow superiority was xenophobia towards all other intelligent races. Desmond's grim childhood left him in a world where he could only trust himself.
-Starting at a young age, Desmond was pitted against other children his age to test and hone his skills in combat. By his early teens Desmond had already began to stand out amongst his peers with a number of achievements beneath his belt. By age 15 he had begun his very first missions with actual combat and scouting parties, where his potential began to really show. Despite his commoner blood, Desmond soared through rankings with what almost seamed to be ease, and Desmond also knew how to apply his accumulated accomplishments diplomatically. He thrived in the cut throat nature of Drow society. Little did Desmond realize at the time how much of a double sword his acheivements were. By his early twenties...

-Between Titania herself and a few other high Summer Court officials who took pity on Desmond, it took decades of gentle care and determination to unwind Desmond's institutionalized mind. The road was rocky, but despite the seemingly insurmountable task, Desmond finally saw his old home for what it truly was. He accepted the Summer Court as his new home, and despite the unpopularity he held for the majority of Summer Court residents, he remained under the watchful and diligent eye of Titania.
-When news broke that a party known as the Steel Roses had saved Mithrendayn, Titania saw this band as an opportunity for Desmond to grow and reach potentials far beyond what could be provided for him within the Summer Court. This is where Desmond's journey with the Steel Roses began.
